This beauty is the daughter of a very good friend that I have known since college. We lost touch for a few years, but thankfully through the wonders of Facebook we were able to reconnect. It was so great to see her again and meet her husband and daughter. I was so honored that she traveled up from the DC area to have me take these pictures. It is always so special for me to get to take pictures of people that I know and love. The rain threatened, but we won and I am SO glad that we managed to elude the rain long enough to get the session in. Coziers...enjoy your preview! Can't wait to see you again...hopefully soon.
What a joy it was to return for another session with the Sherwins. They are such a beautiful family and now they are about to add a little boy to the mix. It was a bit of rough morning since I ended up with a flat tire on my way to their home and had to wait for my repairman (my husband) to come and change it for me. They were so kind and patient in waiting for me to arrive. I think you will agree that "J" is a beautiful expectant mama and there is no doubt that she is surrounded by love. I know the whole family is eager to meet this little boy and I certainly can't wait to be back with them in a few weeks to do his newborn pictures. Enjoy the preview!
Sweet baby Harris, who according to his parents, is already very awake and alert during the day, was apparently worn out by all the attention during his photo shoot. He gave us a few wonderful awake shots and then between eating and his daddy's magic touch, he fell deeply asleep.
I was thrilled with his mommy's desire to do some creative shots, and her ideas were great. The family recently acquired a beautiful chest of drawers from another family member and Harris could not have looked more cozy and perfect nestled inside. His parents joked that he was sleeping so soundly that maybe the drawer would become a new napping location.
Thank you to Harris' family for allowing me into your home and trusting me with these precious moments. Enjoy your preview!
The Burkert family welcomed a new member a few weeks ago and were eager to capture this wonderful time in their lives. I was thrilled to be the one they chose with such precious memories.
They are a beautiful family indeed and it was easy to see their love and energetic spirit.
We had a great time getting some outdoor shots at Marsh Creek Park. It was hot, but well worth the scenery.
What a joy it was to work with this wonderful family.
Amazingly, while I was visiting my mom last week, my sweet friend Anissa was also home visiting her mom with her newborn daughter Keeley.
We haven't seen each other since my wedding over 5 years ago. She had never met my children and it was such a joy to reunite and meet the little loves in our lives.
Baby Keeley was five weeks old which is much later than I usually do newborn sessions, but all the attention must have worn her out because she was the perfect sleeping beauty.
I am so thrilled for Anissa and Scott and hope that I get to see much more of them and Keeley.
